We at OpenLake are on a mission to make the open-source contribution culture thrive in IIT Bhilai. We conduct events to promote participation in open-source internship programs like GSoC, Outreachy, MLH etc. We also have our own open-sourced projects for IIT Bhilai students to contribute. We conduct hackathons, technical workshops, OWOC (OpenLake winter of code), and guest sessions by full-time open-source contributors (Yeah, you heard it right, people earn extremely good salaries from open-source contributions). We're proud to say that every year, starting from the first batch, IIT Bhilai students get selected for the most prestigious open-source programs like Google Summer of Code (GSoC).
